I took my first run in these shoes and was quite surprised at the relieve and whole feel. At first, I was a minuscule hesitant about the shoes, although I had read great reviews on Amazon. I wasn't sure the shoes would hold up well on asphalt, due to the light construction. Boy, was I wrong, the shoes performed great. I run approximately exclusively on city streets. I was certainly surprised at the relieve and how the shoes give, allowing for your legs and knees to dispell shock and impact rather easily. Great shoes, performs very well.
